Produced by famous bollywood art director Mr. Nitin Desai and prominent director Ravi Jadhav who became instant star director after his first film 'NATARANG' became such a grand hit film that even Amitabh Bachchan publicly expressed his interest to watch it.

I must categorically mention here that I have had all my school education till SSC in a 100% Marathi Medium School and I am proud of the fact that my parents taught me in such a school.

This film is about the plight of farmers and how they are cheated by the traders when they bring their agricultural yield to sell in the market. At the end of this film, there is one very exciting mob riot sequence of violent farmers who launch a bloody attack on the traders right in the market yard. Police first try to disperse the mob by ordering for a baton-charge and then fire guns at the crowd. During the police firing, the heroine of the film, an agricultural activist, gets hit with a bullet in her chest and dies on the spot. The scene of a bubble of blood pouring out of her chest is really horrible when she falls on the ground. Next, the scene gets frozen on the screen and the credit-titles begin along with a fiercely worded poem spoken in equally harsh tone by an invisible reader, probably composed by legandary Marathi poet, Shri. Suresh Bhat, is heard by the audience.

One stanza in that poem is 'Shetat Gham Gal Aani Kaadh Peek, Bajarat Neun Veek, Changala Bhav Milala Tar Theek, Nahitar Maranala Kavatalayala Sheek'. This pair of words, 'Peek, Veek, Theek, and Sheek, is called as 'YAMAK' in Marathi. The director of this film became especially happy with me when he saw that even my subtitles in English were worded in similar pair of words. I am sure you must be curious to know what subtitles did I write for this Marathi stanza which is as follows : 'Obtain a yield of dreams to sell, wherever you may find space. It is fine if it sells well or else learn the art of ringing death-bell'. Incidentally, this film has a heroine but no hero and no love songs because the purpose of the film is to highlight the cheap rural grass-root level politics taking place in a tiny village and how the MLA exploits farmers by making clandestine agreements with traders who buy agricultural yield.

This film is about the life of a mentally retarded daughter of a retired army brigadier who is also a very wealthy man. The brigadier takes care of his daughter for all her life but gets baffled when he discovers that his daughter has become a fully grown-up woman. Once, while he is absent at home, the husband of his daughter's governess, who is also a notorious criminal enters the house after finishing his jail term and rapes this mentally retarded daughter. After being introduced to the sesual pleasures, this girl then starts attempting the same from every other male member of the family. Helpless before the circumstances, the brigadier, based on a serious suggestion made by his psychiatrist friend, then persuades his estate manager, a young boy in his mid 20s to marry with her and in lieu offers all his estate to him. On the day of the wedding, he goes to talk with his daughter with tears in his eyes to explain her what sacred moment has finally arrived in her life. Right during that conversation, this mentally retarded girl, demands a sexual relationship from her father. Utterly shocked by this demand, in the same frenzy of trying to control her, the briagadier kills her by strangling her neck. Then he calmly walks down on the ground floor of his spacious bungalow where the preparations for the wedding are on. Everybody present there feels shocked to see the Brigadier coming down with a bare chest but he approaches the telephone and dials the number 100 and informs the police about what he has done. The last dialogue, before the police arrive, is, 'It was foolish for us to expect that she would understand the sacred relationship of a husband and wife after going through a day-long wedding if she could not understand how noble is the relationship of a father and a daughter even after spending 20 years with father. I have finally found the answer of a question that had left all of us without any' and hence is the name of the film 'NIRUTTAR'. The roles of Brigadier and his psychiatrist friend are played by equally competent actors Mr. Mohan Joshi and Dr. Girish Oak respectively.

I cannot avoid the temptation of saying that this is indeed the Marathi version of the great Hollywood film 'SOUND OF MUSIC'.

It would be worthwhile to showcase my skills of the English language, while working for Shri. Ganesh Gargote. Mr. Ganesh Gargoe is a leader in the PR Publicity of Marathi films and almost 80% of the Marathi films are sent to him for arranging state-wide publicity campaigns once the release of any film is planned. Mr. Gargote is one of my very important clients because he is a kind of a one-stop shop for me to obtain the contact phone numbers of various directors and other film industry people. This zip file contains two files, the PDF file is a Marathi text and the MS-Word file contains English translation of the same.
